RECAP: Community Pet Support Day – June 18, 2022

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, Dorchester Paws’ Community Pet Support Day took over the Raising Cane’s Dorchester location parking lot to conduct the largest free pet supply and medical support event in the Lowcountry. On-site, 92.5 Kickin’ Country and Charleston Radio Group staff were on-site to broadcast live and assist with supply distribution alongside 20 other volunteers. Over the course of four hours, Dorchester Paws volunteers and CRG staff served 450 cars and 600 pet-owning families with 35,000 lbs. of cat, dog and bird food; cat litter; dog crates and beds. All made possible by supporting sponsors the Steinberg Law Firm, Grow Financial and Holy City Heating & Air as well as partners DHEC and Moving Labor Help Center whose logos appeared on signage, materials and on-air mentions before and during the event.
