Folly Beach Mermaids & Mateys Festival

Mermaids, pirates and so much more to explore comes with the return of Folly Beach’s Mermaids & Mateys Festival, happening Saturday, October 3rd. The festival brings a seaside celebration to Center Street, perfect for kids to come dressed as pirates, mermaids or their favorite undersea characters. The event will feature plenty of activities for kids such as games, jump castles, arts & crafts, a dunk tank and more, as well as vendors for food, fashion, and fun! Live music entertainment will also be available!

A costume contest for family and individual adult categories will be held, giving kids and adults the opportunity to take home some very neat prizes!

Also, this year, Mermaids & Mateys is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association – South Carolina Chapter for Paint Folly Purple, which encourages attendees to wear purple and help raise money for this special local charity.

Registration is FREE but required and does not guarantee entry. Admission is first-come, first-served up to capacity.
