Blood supplies across the Lowcountry are at dangerously low levels. Because of COVID-19, plus the holidays, donations are down at a time the American Red Cross really needs your assistance.

Treatments don’t stop over the holidays for patients relying on transfusions as part of their care. The Red Cross must always keep a sufficient supply of blood on hand for hospitals to treat patients. When you give now, your donation will help ensure blood is on the shelves and ready for patients this holiday season.

The Charleston Radio Group and WCBD, Count On 2 News invite you to “Share the Warmth” and join us Tuesday, Dec. 29 from 11AM to 7 PM at Mount Pleasant National Guard on Mathis Ferry Road, or Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville.

All presenting blood donors will also a FREE Red Cross Holiday Tee Shirt, while supplies last.

To schedule your appointment, please call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code: BloodBlitz. This holiday season, give the gift of life – give blood.
